Consultation on the legal framework for the fundamental right to protection of personal data

Directorate General for Justice, Freedom and Security invites to consultation on the legal framework for the fundamental right to protection of personal data. The consultation began on 9 July 2009 and will terminate on 31 December 2009.

The objective of the consultation is to obtain views on the new challenges for personal data protection, in particular in the context of new technologies and globalisation.

Contributions are welcome from citizens, organisations and public authorities. Received contributions will be published on the Internet.
