The issue discussed by Michał Serzycki, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection, with Mateusz Ochmański representing Polsat TV station concerned the impact of the judgment by the Supreme Administrative Court on debt recovery by tax offices.
The interview was held on 10 August 2009.
The journalist was interested mainly in the fact whether the said judgment would make it impossible to collect fines. He asked whether the bank could – referring to the banking secrecy – refuse a tax office to disclose personal data of a person from each it would like to recover debts.
