Interview for Pomerania and Kujawy Radio, 10 September 2009

The interview given by Michał Serzycki, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection, to Żaneta Walentyn from Pomerania and Kujawy Radio focused on safe use of the Internet.

The journalist asked how to protect one’s personal data and right to privacy in the age of development of new technologies.

The Inspector General for Personal Data Protection recommended to be careful when making use of technological achievements. It is especially important in case of the Internet, because the information once placed usually stays there forever, and sometimes even can be used contrary to one’s will.

Michał Serzycki explained also which provisions we could use to pursue our rights in case where someone illegally used our personal data, including for example our image.
