For the Polish Radio Euro on disclosure of personal data, 2 November 2009

Michał Serzycki, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection, explained during the interview given to Anna Depczyńska from the Polish Radio Euro when and to whom we have to disclose our personal data.

Michał Serzycki warned us to be very careful when giving our personal data. He advised the listeners to first of all analyse the scope of data requested. – The data is always collected for some purpose – explained GIODO – and no one shall collect more data relating us than is necessary to achieve this very purpose.

The Inspector General encouraged people to be especially careful in case of disclosing their personal data on the Internet or by e-mail, because these media offer the easiest ways for identity fraud.
