GIODO will cooperate with Human Rights Defender (RPO)

A meeting of Wojciech Wiewiórowski and Irena Lipowicz, devoted to specifying the principles of cooperation between GIODO and RPO, took place on 10 August 2010.

Wojciech Wiewiórowski PhD, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection, and the Deputy Inspector General, Andrzej Lewiński, attended a meeting with Professor Irena Lipowicz, Human Rights Defender, on 10 August 2010. During the meeting, which was held in the office of RPO, the participants discussed the principles of constant cooperation between the institutions, among other things in the field of assistance for the disabled. They also underlined the need to improve the standards for data protection, including the issues of retention of telecommunication data.
