
The employer may introduce various forms of employee control, however, he needs to inform the employees of them – stated Wojciech Wiewiórowski, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection (GIODO).
GIODO discussed the issue in TV Biznes, in an interview with Robert Lidke. According to Wiewiórowski, we accept the fact that the employers control the employees for the sake of, among other things, company security and work efficiency.
In order to do so, employers may use videosurveillance, control employee e-mails and the way they use the company computer during work.
