On 30 May 2006 the Voivodeship Administrative Court adjudicated on the case of the decision of the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection of 26 August 2005 which upheld the decision of 15 July 2005. The Inspector General's decisions were issued as a result of an inspection performed in the Institute of National Remembrance after Mr Bronisław Wildstein has taken out of the Institute of National Remembrance a list of 160 thousand names and published this list on the Internet. Upon issuing the decision the Inspector General for Personal Data notified prosecuting bodies of commission of crime, but the latter did not handle the case and discontinued its most important plots.
