
4TH DATA PROTECTION DAY
OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE
WARSAW, 28 JANUARY 2010
On the occasion of the celebration of the 4th European Data Protection Day established by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to take place on 28 January, the Inspector General for Personal Data Protection wishes to kindly invite you to the Open Day, which will be held at the seat of the GIODO Bureau in Warsaw (Intraco building, 2 Stawki Str.) between 10.00 a.m. and 2 p.m. on 28 January 2010.
On the Open Day you will have an opportunity to obtain legal advice as well as educational and informational materials. You will also have a chance to participate in a series of lectures devoted to the most crucial problems related to privacy and data protection. This year’s motto is „You Have the Right to Online Privacy”. Therefore, the lectures will focus in particular on topics related to privacy protection in the electronic world as well as protection of children’s rights on the Internet. Lectures will be held in the conference room of the Intraco building (ground floor). This year, Gliwice City Hall, Teachers Training Centre in Gliwice as well as teachers and students of middle schools in Gliwice participating in the pilot program “Your data – your concern” joined the celebration of the Data Protection Day.
